Olympus Australia Pty. Ltd. was established in June 1997 as a direct subsidiary of the Olympus Corporation Japan. The establishment of the company was to provide a standard of service required in a challenging health environment. Long-term commitments and investment have fostered a dynamic company that continues to be a leader in the supply of specialised medical, scientific and industrial equipment.

Olympus Australia Pty. Ltd. is responsible for the marketing and distribution of high-quality products in Australia and New Zealand and through Olympus' respective agents and dealers in New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Tahiti and the South Pacific region.

The Olympus product range is sold through two divisions, the Medical Instruments Division and the Precision Instruments Division.

Precision Instruments Division

The Precision Instruments Division offers a broad range of products that fall into two major categories, Life Science Products and Industrial Products.

The Life Science product range offers microscopy solutions for clinical and research uses including digital imaging solutions for applications ranging from basic routine use through to advanced live cell imaging.

The Industrial Product range includes Microscopy for industrial applications and Non Destructive Testing solutions including borescopes, fiberscopes, videoscopes and edicurrent & ultrasonic testing products. Uses for these products range from silicon wafer inspection in microchip production to inspecting suspect packages for bombs.

Medical Instruments Division

The Medical Instrument Division encompasses a broad range of Endoscopy and Endo-Surgical products with particular emphasis in the fields of Gastroenterology, Respiratory Anaesthetics and the entire spectrum of Endoscopic Surgery, including General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, ENT and Colorectal Surgery.

The mission of the Medical Instruments Division is to make a total commitment to our customers. This commitment is a package consisting of a superior product range, dedicated sales force, professional marketing team and superior service by our Customer Technical Support team.

Olympus Communications is the trading name of Nationwide Dictating Pty Ltd, an Australian owned Company, who is the sole Importer and Distributor of Olympus Dictating and Recording products in Australia.

Their Head Office is in Melbourne with branch offices in Sydney and Brisbane. Authorised dealers and distributors service other states of Australia which results in a complete nationwide distribution of Olympus Dictating products.
