New Olympus PEN system telephoto zoom lenses

31 August 2010, Sydney: Olympus Imaging Corporation has announced the addition of two new telephoto zoom lenses to the continually-growing lens system for Olympus’ new generation of PEN digital cameras: the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 75-300mm f4.8–6.7 and M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40–150mm f4.0–5.6. Designed to maximise the performance and compact-size advantages of the Olympus PEN System, both new lenses provide uncompromising SLR quality imaging performance and feature Olympus’ proprietary fast-focusing and silent MSC lens drive technology. With the introduction of these two new lenses, the Olympus PEN lens range now provides focal length options ranging from an ultra-wide 18mm to a super-telephoto range of 600mm (in the 35mm film format).

New firmware updates for PEN E-P1, E-P2 and E-PL1 cameras

15 April 2010, Sydney: Olympus Imaging Corporation has announced the release of new
firmware updates for the PEN E-P1, E-P2 and E-PL1 cameras. These updates provide
improved auto-focus performance in all three PEN cameras, both for still images and movie
shooting. When the E-P2 and E-PL1 cameras are used with the VF-2 electronic viewfinder,
the new camera firmware updates provide flexibility in displaying the camera menu and
captured image playback on the main LCD

New Olympus Viewer 2 software

15 April 2010, Sydney: Olympus Imaging Corporation is pleased to announce the release of
Olympus Viewer 2 software, which will replace both the Olympus Master 2 and Olympus
Studio 2 applications. Olympus camera owners will be able to download the new application
free of charge from May 2010 through the Olympus Imaging Australia website:

Introducing the world’s first underwater camera housing for Micro Four Thirds photography

3 February 2010, Sydney: Olympus Imaging Corporation has announced the launch of the PT-EP01 underwater housing for the Olympus PEN E-PL1 Micro Four Thirds System camera.
