Designed for ease of use, Olympus Studio is a professional workflow software application for picture management, raw conversion, image-editing and tethered image capture with all Olympus digital SLR cameras.
The proprietary Olympus RAW image conversion engine greatly reduces the time needed to develop RAW picture files, and provides the maximum picture quality from RAW images captured with Olympus DSLRs. Easy but powerful picture sorting and batch processing functions assist the photographer in efficient large volume picture management and picture processing workflow. Colour and priority tagging, Virtual Light Box mode for side by side picture comparisons, and picture grouping facilitates picture selection.
Image editing functions include curve and tone control, sharpness adjustment, automatic and manual light-fall off (corner shading) compensation, automatic or manual linear distortion adjustment, de-fishing of images shot with the Zuiko Digital 8mm fishye lens, and conversion to black and white with colour filter options.
The camera-control module allows for tethered camera shooting, to capture images directly to computer harddisk drive, with exposure and shutter control selectable for either camera-shooting or computer-based shooting (PC/Mac). Applications include in-studio use, macro photography applications and remote photography usage. Connection is via USB (E-300, E-330, E-500) or Firewire (E-1).
