    The Mju 1200 packs powerful 12-megapixel imaging into a slim, stylish body that weighs just 125g and has a thickness of only 24mm. Using an exclusive Olympus slim, high-resolution lens design with a reduced number of lens elements, the lens unit weight and thickness have been reduced. As a result, the Mju 1200 is able to offer both class-leading image quality and a stylish design for active outdoor portability.

    Face Detection & Shadow Adjust Technology

    Olympus Face Detection and Shadow Adjust ensures sharp focus on the subject's face, and displays a green frame on the LCD monitor to indicate when faces are detected. It also recognises when there are no people in the frame, and automatically adjusts the focus and exposure accordingly. The result of the adjustments is displayed in real-time on the LCD screen, making it easy for users to see how the main subject and background will appear in the captured image.

    Large 2.7-inch HyperCrystal LCD screen for excellent visibility

    The Mju 1200's 2.7-inch LCD monitor improves operating ease by displaying shooting guide information in large, easy-to-read type. It also boasts a 20% improvement in brightness and contrast over previous HyperCrystal LCD screens, making it exceptionally easy to view in bright light. The viewing angle has also been increased by 20% to 176° on both the horizontal and vertical axes.
