Procedure
Turn off the camera. Connect the camera to the computer with the provided USB cable.
Note:
-
To transfer pictures from the internal camera memory, remove the memory card (e.g. xD-Picture Card) from the camera before connecting the camera to the computer. When a memory card is in the camera, the pictures in the internal memory cannot be transferred.
-
Use a fully charged battery or an AC adapter when transferring pictures to avoid loss of power during transfer. (Depending on the camera, the AC adapter may not be available or it may be sold separately.) If the camera stops during the data transfer, the pictures may be destroyed.
-
Connect the USB cable directly to a USB port on the computer.
If connected via a USB hub, data transfer may not be successful.
The LCD monitor on the camera will turn on automatically.
The display will vary based on the camera.
Many models will display a selection screen like this one:
For most OLYMPUS digital SLR cameras, select "STORAGE." For the E-300
or for non-SLR digital cameras, select "PC." Then, press the OK button.
If a selection screen does not appear, skip to step 3.
When the computer recognizes the camera, OLYMPUS Master 2 will start automatically. Click "OK" to proceed.
If OLYMPUS Master 2 does not start automatically:
a.
Double-click the "OLYMPUS Master 2" icon on the desktop
( Windows ) or Dock ( Macintosh ) .
b.
Click "Transfer " on the toolbar, and then click "From Camera."
The "Transfer Images from Camera" window will open and display
thumbnail images of the pictures in the camera.
The pictures have not yet been transferred to the computer.
To select multiple pictures, hold down the "Ctrl" key ("Command" key for Macintosh) on the keyboard while clicking on each pictures.
Select the transfer destination.
You have two options for the transfer destination: Album or Folder.
I.
Transferring to an Album
On the "Album" tab in the "Transfer Destination" window,
select "New Album" (as it is by default) and enter the album name.
If you want to transfer pictures to an existing album,
select "Select Album" and then click on an album.
Click "Transfer Images" to start transferring the pictures to the computer.
II.
Transferring to a Folder
On the "Folder" tab in the "Transfer Destination" window,
select a folder in the computer's folder tree.
If you want to create a new folder, click[
].
The "Create New Folder" window will be displayed.
Click "Transfer Images" to start transferring the pictures to the computer.
Note:
-
Do not open the battery and card cover or disconnect the AC adapter while the card access lamp is blinking.
The following window will be displayed when the transfer is complete.
Click the "Browse images now" button to view the pictures.
The transferred pictures will be displayed on the "Browse" window.
The pictures are now transferred to the computer
