iHS technology inside Intelligent High-Speed and High-Sensitivity technology equips the XZ-10 to be a very responsive camera with a very quick startup speed, and fast shutter button reaction for rapid and accurately focused snapshots. Burst shooting captures full resolution shots at 5 frames per second (12MP resolution) to 60 frames per second (3MP).
Photo Story in-camera montaging Photo Story shooting mode displays montage templates on the LCD screen with picture ‘frames’ that you shoot directly into. With a chosen montage template displayed, a simple tap of the touch-sensitive screen takes the shot and places it right into the selected frame, letting you create a unique ‘photo story’ on the LCD with each successive shot.
High Speed Video recording Enables super-slow motion film clips to be recorded in superb HD quality. Easily create photo montages by selecting one of four main Photo Story template themes. Each theme can automatically apply selected Art Filter effects, letting you create fun and memorable photo stories.

“Photo Story” montage templates

4× optical zoom and 8× super resolution zoom are available with Super Macro mode. Maximum magnification factors equal to 7x (at 100mm) to 14x (35 mm conversion) are possible from a shooting distance of 1 cm. Image degradation is minimal using Super Resolution Zoom to enable the near-microscopic world to be captured in high quality.

The high-speed performance of Olympus’ iHS technology enables movie recording at very high speed. Slow-motion playback allows you to see movements too quick for the human eye. 720p resolution setting (120fps) plays back at 4× slow-motion/HVGA resolution setting (240fps) plays back at 8× slow-motion.
